Impact of the Instantaneous Weight of Vehicles on their Stopping Distance
Motl, Jakub ; Ptáček,, Petr (referee) ; Vémola, Aleš (advisor)
This diploma thesis is engaged in analysis of braking process of vehicles, especially heavy utility vehicles, with regard to their instantaneous weight. This thesis features survey and division of braking systems and function of brakes including schemes and descriptions. Also there is introduce of some systems improving vehicle properties. Furthermore this work puts mind to possibilities of examination of brakes, measurement of braking distance and braking retardation namely in brake test rooms or by outdoor driving tests including descriptions of particular methods and equipment. There is also mention about legislative requirements for braking distance and braking retardation. The conclusion of this thesis compares numerically predicted braking distance and real braking distance measured for factual vehicle during outdoor driving test
Influence of trailers load on driving properties of train
Pečová, Monika ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Belák, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes the behavior combination of vehicles, especially the semitrailer type when empty and loaded. In addition to the basic design differences of vehicle combinations this work presents the effects of crosswinds, tire properties and the importance of the center of gravity of the system and choice of axle type for directional dynamics.
Passive and active safety features in passenger cars
Jahoda, Patrik ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with safety elements of all kinds in personal vehicles and their general introduction. This elements are divided and broadened and roughly described. My work contains short summary of history of safety elements. Conclusion contains evaluation of individual elements. Video with crash test is inserted in this graduate work.
Chassis Electrical Systems
Slaběňák, Patrik ; Kuchyňková, Hana (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
Travelling by bus is very extended in present and safety return home is a wish of every passenger. Outcome of this bachelor work is a survey of the most used stability systems, used in cars and facilitating the work of drivers in critic situations. Among others, this work contains the survey of powers acting on a vehicle during the ride. This powers influence impending slippery road on aggravated adhesive conditions. Individual systems are described attentively and supplemented by illustrating pictures, which near this issue and facilitate the real idea of functionality. At the conclusion of this work is mentioned the theoretical suggestion for practical exercising of a subject automobile electrotechnics and also a referring is mentioned to my continuation in this dissertation.
ESP/ESC Impact to Behavior of Vehicle
Weigel, Filip ; Mrázek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on active safety - ESP. System ESP greatly improves stability of vehicle while turning. The thesis analyses modelling, brake functionality, subordinate systems of ESP - ABS and ASR, physical forces and phenomenons, model example, analysis of problem, design of model, implementation of model and experiments evaluation of implemented model in UPPAAL enviroment. The goal of the thesis is to prove that ESP system helps to stabilize vehicle while turning by simulation of vehicle model. Results are presented in well-aranged graphs side-by-side. It is possible to analyze the behaviour of vehicle while turning with ESP or without ESP.
Modelling and Analysis of Impacts of ABS to Behavior of Vehicle
Holec, Dominik ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
Bachelor thesis discusses the ABS braking system and its influence on the braking distance of the vehicle. The thesis includes design, description of the development and testing of the model in the UPPAAL verification environment. The resulting model is a system of intercommunicating timed automata. The analysis of the model properties is based on the method of statistical verification. The model allows us to investigate in particular the course and the length of the braking track. Other variables affecting the behavior of the model that can be tracked are skidding, friction coefficient, air resistance, braking force and vehicle speed. It is also possible to obtain the probability of the vehicle stopping within a certain distance under the chosen conditions and examine the impact of ABS on these results.
Influence of tread grooves depth on achievable vehicle deceleration
Kejíková, Barbora ; Kaluža, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
This thesis is devoted on passenger car tyres. Theoretical part covers description of production, construction and tyre parameters. Practical part is comprised experimental measurement of influence of tread grooves depth on achievable vehicle deceleration. First, it is focused on preparation conditions of measurement, with subsequent processing and evaluation of the data obtained.
Analysis of Non-Standard Braking Intervention into the Brake System
Kortán, Daniel ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Vémola, Aleš (advisor)
This master’s thesis focused on the issue of the possible conversion of liquid brake systems, in the form of replacement of wheel brakes. The first part focused on the function and description of the construction of different types of brakes. The second part is focused on description the types of brake system testing and the regulations regarding brake systems. The last part focused on the measurement of both vehicles and comparison of the results with the calculations.
ABS Impact to Behavior of Vehicle
Zich, Jakub ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The bachelor thesis discusses the Anti-lock braking system and its impact on braking distance of a vehicle. The thesis contains research of this problem, a summary of suitable modeling tools, solution draft, its implementation in the UPPAAL modeling tool and tests performed with the model. The tests examine the course of progression of basic quantities associated with braking (velocity, braking distance, slip, angular velocity, friction coefficient) in simulations of emergency braking with and without the use of ABS, and compare the results. They also verify probability of the vehicle stopping in different circumstances on given distance. Lastly, the model can simulate brake or sensor defect, and results of those simulations can be compared to simulations without defect.
Influence of heavy vehicle load to the vehicle deceleration
Jirásková, Iveta ; Tylšar, Vladimír (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of braking trucks at different loads. The theoretical part defines the basic construction of trucks, truck brakes, the braking process and the factors that affect braking, braking deceleration, and legislative requirements for truck brakes. The practical part describes the course of experimental measurements, the use of the technique, the place of measurement, atmospheric conditions and used trucks. At the end of the work, based on experimental measurements, the obtained values of braking deceleration of trucks are evaluated.
